Beanie

This hat is easy and quick to make. 

1. Cast on 80 stitches on a 7 USA circular needle. 
2. Knit with desired color to form band, then alternate colors of your choice until the hat measures 9". 
3. Decrease every other row every 20 stitches 5 times. 
4. Gather remaining stitches and cinch hat top. 
5. Hem hat band by tacking every other stitch to inside of the hat. 

Tips: In order to avoid jogging, (that's when a color change looks obvious because it doesn't appear to start on the same row) at the end of the first round of new color, slip knit wise the first stitch of the new color, and then knit the rest of the new color normally.
