I am trying to not buy new yarn and use the leftover yarn I have for projects, so I plan on making mittens, hats, winter stuff most of the summer then give them away as gift around the winter season.
This hat I made on #6 circular needles. 94 stitches, knit for 15", decrease every other row every 8th stitch until so little remain that you are starting to get annoyed...bind off. Using a darning needle, weave in ends, hem hat by lightly stitching hem to inside of had.
The gloves I made by casting on 40 stitches equally on four double pointed #5 needles. Knit, purl for desired ribbing length, switch to #6 following the rest of the pattern. Medium.
Machine washable 80% high quality acrylic, 30% wool.
