I made this for a friend a while back, and I just recently found these pictures on a thumb drive. The zipper in the back was a tad challenging, but the dress overall was super easy to make. The fabric was slippery, and unforgiving in that once I sewed a seam, if I made a mistake, the needle holes remained in the fabric, so I only got one chance to make the seams correct.
The shimmer fabric was just a basic overlay of the dress underneath.
I used Simplicity Sewing Pattern 3629, but I modified it a tad.
