It's a leaf.
The clay is gray. I made the cup, embossed it using a small design roller. I embossed in just a few areas where I could press hard on the clay and make the impression obvious without distorting the shape of the cup. I coated the cup with three coats of blue glaze, and I then rubbed the embossed areas with a soft cloth until I could just see the design. Once the cup was fired it protected the color of the clay giving the entire cup the appearance of being gray under the blue even though if you look at the bottom, the clay has fired to a much lighter color. I love it.
Blue Jeans.
I am in love with this yellow glaze. I love it. It makes me want to make potatoes salad and fried chicken. I love, love this bowl. The inside is matted glaze, the outside, that wonderful yellow. I want to make this bowl higher, thinner, wider, and bigger for fruit and salads. Nice.
I have no idea what I was thinking when I made this, but yeah, a vase?
