Plaster Your Paris

I have been wanting to do this for a long time, and turns out it was a lot of fun. I am in love with plaster and molds.

I made this to put rings on, bracelets, keys, and maybe a soap dish if I use the right finish.

I want to do this again, but with other body parts that I won't mention.

The process was a lot easier that I thought, but the gel that creates the mold sets up a lot fast than I anticipated, and I got some weird bubbles that I decline to share.

I used a mixer attachment for my electric drill, and also a big bucket to mix both of the agents without  getting powder and plaster everywhere. I use the same drill when pugging clay.

Once the gel sets up, it feels like flesh. I pulled my hand out, and the action made a loud slurping sound like my hand had been in someone's mouth for ten minutes. I mixed up the plaster, and I gently poured just a bit in, rolled around, then the rest tapping the sides of the container and pounding it on the counter a bit to settle the plaster into all the cracks.

The plaster dried in an hour.

I poured the candies by hand using a lipped measuring cup. The candies turned out great, but  still haven't decided what I want to do with them.
