Whenever I have some free time, I like to hop on the bus and head downtown to the library. The central library is wonderful. The city is a lot cleaner now that the cold weather has settled in and most of the homeless drug addicts have left or gone inside.
I picked up some harp sheet music from the library. Some of the music dates back to the forties. Amazing what you can find at the library. Later I stopped and got a slice of Pizza at SizzlePie which is my favorite. Then lugging my books along, I stopped at Case Study Roasters.
I love downtown Portland during the summer and winter months. I remember when I lived in Eugene, I would drive up to Portland a lot. Sometimes just for the weekend or the night, but sometimes to go shopping with my friends that I worked with at a salon. I like to come up and shop right before the winter to buy winter clothes. I loved that.
