Raglan Sweater (Update)

I am working on my second Ragland sweater this month.

This time I am using all of the spare yarn I have in my stash, and I think it's turning out great.

What I love about knitting Ragland sweaters is that you don't really need a pattern. I love the top-down method. Once you've chosen your neck style then it's a matter of choosing how to increase, and how many stitches you need for the shoulder, and you are off.

You can choose the colors for different panel, different colors for the sleeves as well as the body.

A lot of Ragland patterns are for flat patterns, but I managed to find a few that are top-down.

Go here to get an easy starter Ragland pattern. If you just want a solid color raglan for your first attempt, ignore the color changing steps in the pattern.

12/1/24 - I got most of the bodice finished on this sweater. It's coming along pretty well, I think. I can't wait to get it finished and then wash it and see how all of the different kind of acrylic from a handful of manufactures comes together. I think it will end up looking nice and soft.
