These were a lot of fun to make. The yarn is super soft and a tad slick.
Caron® Cloud Cakes™ Yarn
I haven't used this kind of yarn before, fuzzy, soft. It was nice. It's easy to hide mistakes in fuzzy multicolored yarn. This small stack was enough for me to make four pairs of mittens, a crowl, and an adult size hat using a #5 and #7 needle.
The cowl was easy to make. I casted on 40 stitches using a provincial cast-on, then for pattern knit 2, purl 1 on #7 needles for desired length, then I did a three-needle cast-off to make a nice hearty seam, but a narrow seam line in front.
87 stitches, knit 1, knit 2 ribbing, provincials cast-on creating invisible seam hem. 6 point decrease.
These were fun to make. Knit 2, purl 1 ribbing. This time I knitted about two inches before I started the gusset. Most patterns call for you to start the gusset soon after the ribbing ends. I finished off the thumb and fingers using the same ribbing pattern.
